About the Author:
Born in Prague, Martina spoke several languages before she learned English after moving to the United States. Her 2nd grade teacher teased her for not pronouncing the "wh" sound right, so she set out to master "all the words." She's still working on that. Meanwhile, she loves reading and writing books about beautiful, vicious, magical worlds that intersect our own.
