Ellie Cahill is poised to coin the term “sorbet sex” with her charming twist on the age-old ‘friends-with-benefits’ story.
Dating can be fun, but it can leave a nasty taste in your mouth. For Joss, ever since her longtime boyfriend cheated on her, she doesn’t want her last memory of a guy to be that jerk. Enter her college friend, Matt. They come up with a theory: after a bad break-up, a person needs to cleanse the palate with a little sorbet sex. Lovers for a night, but always back to being friends in the morning. The two can handle it because they have a contract: rules they wrote, rules they follow and rules they can sometimes bend. The arrangement works: everyone needs a little sorbet now and again … until it starts to be the only thing you want. And then Joss breaks the one rule they never wrote down: don’t fall in love.

***I received an e-galley of this book from the publisher via Edelweiss in exchange for an honest review***

I really loved reading this book! LOVE it! I am so glad that I was able to read this story.
I think it has everything I am looking for in a New Adult story. Romance, friendship, and passion!

The story hooked me from the beginning. I couldn't put it down. I almost read it all in one sitting, but forced myself to put it down so I could get some sleep. One of the first things I did the next morning was finish reading the story. (I couldn't wait to find out what was going to happen!) It was definitely a quick, fun read for me.

I really liked that the chapters alternated between the past and present. Not only did I find it interesting, I loved being able to watch their friendship and relationship develop over the years.

Joss and Matt met in college. They became friends quickly and enjoyed hanging out together. Then Joss finds out that her long distance boyfriend cheated on her. Together, Joss and Matt come up with "sorbet sex", which allows them to sleep together to get over the bad relationship, then go back to being friends. They write a list of rules (that they are always adding to) to help them make this arrangement work. But the longer it goes on, the more things change and become a bit confusing.

I love Joss and Matt. Both of their characters are well-developed and well-written. I had no problem connecting with them and caring about their lives. I enjoyed their character developments over the years both as individuals and together.
I was interested in what was going to happen with the people that they went out with and relationships they had. But I was especially excited about what was going on and would happen between them.
One of my absolute favorite things about this book is how believable their friendship is. I love their friend dynamic. They are best friends. I love their witty banter with each other and how much they care about each other.
I also really like that the book wasn't entirely about their sex life. Other things happened. We get to see them also live their lives. Going to school, having jobs, and personal challenges that are faced.

My Recommendation:
Get this book! Read it! I found this story to be fun, entertaining and steamy. I loved reading this book. There were definitely some really steamy parts, but I feel that it didn't only focus on the romance, there was friendship too. I laughed, became frustrated, was sad and happy. I don't regret reading this one and am looking forward to reading it again in the future.

Would I Buy This Book?
Yes! This is one that I definitely want to buy.
